The Wolseley 15/60 is an automobile which was produced from 1958 to 1961, and then, as the Wolseley 16/60, from 1961 to 1971. The 15/60 was the first of the mid-sized Pininfarina -styled automobiles manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC).

On the one hand, you had the staid and solid Wolseley air of luxury and security - and on the other, there was the befinned Italianate Farina body, which wouldn't look out of place on a Lancia.

The Wolseley 16/60 was the high-end 1960s Farina family saloon, offered in this vibrant Damask Red and Arabian Grey colour combination. As can be seen from the photos, the bodywork is in well-nigh immaculate order, with sharp, rust-free arches and sills all round. The red leather interior is similarly superb, with spotless dashboard and roof.

1970 WOLSELEY 16/60 TAX & MOT EXEMPT LOVELY TO DRIVE SOLD Car And Classic

Wolseley 16/60 by Wolseley Register member Dick Peters. The range received a substantial upgrade in the autumn of 1961, when the Wolseley was reclassified as 16/60. This involved an increase in engine capacity to 1622cc, providing an extra 9bhp; 4mph on top speed and three seconds off the 0-60 sprint.

WOLSELEY 16/60 4-door 5-seater saloon. The last of the dry-as-dust Farina-styled BMC cars, which floated on unchanged from the early sixties. Basic Austin/Morris style adorned with typical grille and fancy paintwork, plus more lavish interior. Stodgy 61bhp B-Series engine gave 80mph if you were lucky, but much slower with the automatic option.

Wolseley 16/60 The Wolseley 15/60 was the first of the mid-sized Pinin Farina-styled automobiles from the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Launched in December 1958, the design would eventually be shared with seven other marques. All of the cars were updated in 1961 with a larger engine and new model designations.
